Governor of SASO: Budget of2019 Reflects Sustainability and Growth of Saudi Economy
His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Kasabi expressed his deepest congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, on the occasion of approving the Kingdom's budget for 2019. This budget is the biggest in the history of the Kingdom and exceeded one trillion Saudi riyals.
His Excellency explained that this year's budget affirms the Kingdom's desire to continue creating catalysts to achieve its ambitious Vision and contribute to its regional and global leadership. Moreover, he noted that this budget helps to sustain the growth of the Saudi economy and indicates that the Kingdom is moving towards a new and important historical stage in various economic, social and cultural levels.
Furthermore, Al-Kasabi added that the Kingdom continues to reap the benefits of its ambitious Vision, which has placed the Kingdom among the world's leading economies. It has also contributed to diversifying the Saudi economy, achieving growth and financial stability, and stimulating the national transformation towards a non-oil economy. In addition, it helped in increasing the contribution of the private sector as an engine of growth, increasing employment opportunities for citizens, improving the standard of living and achieving a prosperous and vibrant society
Al-Kasabi continued: "We are all looking forward that this budget will continue to lead towards a better future for our dear country, ensuring the sustainability of resources and enhancing the efficiency of spending, which will reflect on the quality of life of the people of this country.
In his closing, His Excellency the Governor of SASO, asked Allah Almighty to sustain the blessings of security, stability and prosperity on the Kingdom, its leadership, and the Saudi people, , under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.
