Intensive Effort of SASO to Celebrate Gulf Traffic Week





     Last week witnessed an intensive awareness effort by SASO, coinciding with the celebration of the Gulf Traffic Week, where SASO organized three awareness events in the Eastern Province. In addition, SASO held an awareness pavilion at King Salman Naval Support Base in Riyadh, as well as a fifth event in Jeddah.

     SASO also broadcasted a number of awareness messages and instructions about safety and security aids in cars such as safety belts and truck under-run protective devices, and the ways to change and choose the appropriate oil for the car engine, as well as identifying salvage cars and other related issues.

     SASO participated in the celebration of the events of the Gulf Traffic Week through a number of awareness pavilions which included the Eastern Province celebration, which was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef, Governor of the Eastern Province. SASO also participated in an awareness pavilion at the celebration of the Air Base in Dhahran, inaugurated by HRH Prince Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, in addition to another pavilion at King Salman Naval Support Base in the city of Al Kharj, opened by His Excellency the Commander of the Naval Forces, Staff Lt. Gen. Abdullah bin Sultan Al Sultan.

     SASO also received a delegation of officials of GCC traffic bodies to review SASO's efforts in enhancing the role of the technical regulations and standards in the safety and security of the consumer in general.

     Therefore, SASO aims to raise the level of public awareness among all segments of the society by identifying the products safety and the way to ensure that products arrive save and free of defects to the consumer in the Saudi market.
