SASO Takes its First Steps Towards Activating Internal Review Unit
His Excellency the Governor of SASO, Dr. Sa'ad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, a number of senior officials, members of the Executive Administration, general managers, and departments' managers attended the events of a workshop about reviewing the work plan for preparing the infrastructure of the Internal Review Unit and determining and assessing risks, organized by the Internal Review Unit at SASO on Monday, Rabi' al-Thani 27th, 1436 AH, corresponding to February 16th, 2015, at SASO's headquarter in Riyadh.
The participants listened to a detailed explanation about the operational plan for preparing the infrastructure of the Internal Review Unit and about the steps to be taken during the coming stage. SASO approaches towards activating the role of the Internal Review Unit and establishing unbiased independent evaluation activity inside SASO to help the superior administration measure the efficiency of administrative and financial decisions through the inspection and measurement of achievements and the commitment to goals, policies, systems, and procedures organizing the work of all SASO's departments. In addition, this evaluation activity helps to determine risks encountering the work of different departments at SASO and find correct scientific solutions to avoid risks and reduce their effect.
For his part, the governor of SASO demanded all SASO's employees, first and foremost the members of the Executive Administration and general managers, to work together to achieve more excellent results. He also urged everyone to cooperate with the Internal Review Unit as it is an internal evaluation means that reflects the reality of SASO and leads to the advance in attaining higher rates of achievement in all SASO's specialties.
