SASO'S Governor: King Abdulaziz Quality Award is a significant milestone in the process of organizational excellence


      Dr. Saad AlKasabi, Governor of SASO and Secretary General of   King Abdul Aziz Quality Award, stressed on the importance of the role played by the national award in terms of improving the quality, efficiency and productivity levels in various sectors of the Kingdom. This was during the Award's introductory meeting which was recently held in the Eastern Province on Monday 28/10/2015, on the occasion of launching  the third session of the award and the launch of the new excellence model.

      The Governor said in a speech, delivered on his behalf by the Director General of the Commission in the Eastern Province Branch, Tamis Bin Ali AlHamadi, that the award in its current session targets seven private sectors, including: Large production establishments, medium-sized production establishments, large service establishments, medium-sized service establishments, private universities  and the health sector. He pointed out that the award represents a significant milestone in the process of quality and organizational excellence in the Kingdom. It also marks an important step to reach the aimed global level, and to achieve the national vision of quality in 2020, which states that: "The Kingdom and its products and services become a worldwide standard for quality and accuracy."

      An awareness film on the prize was displayed in the meeting, followed by an illustrative word presented by the Executive Director of the Award, Dr. Zain bin Eida Althubaity. His word addressed the prize and its own model of excellence, and was based on three themes;  principles of quality, organizational excellence which includes two parts: possibilities and results, and finally the approved assessment mechanism that was specially developed for the Award and named "Itqan"; perfection and accuracy.
