His Excellency, Dr. Saad Bin Osman Al-Kasabi, the Governor of Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), and His Excellency, Dr. Khalil Bin Ibrahim al-Ibrahim, the President of the University of Hail signed a memorandum to enhance the mutual cooperation between both authorities, providing the qualifying, training, advisory, and research services, and exchanging experiences related to the activities of the two sides.
The memorandum of cooperation aims to exchange knowledge and experience between SASO and the University in order to enable the preparation of scientific competencies specialized in various applied fields and to meet the need of the community for the capabilities possessed by both sides to achieve the maximum possible benefit.
SASO indicated that the memorandum includes supporting research programs and Joint scientific dissemination of applied researches. Consequently, enhancing the life quality and social services programs by using technical capabilities, scientific and laboratory equipment at SASO, researchers' experience at both authorities, and joint supervising on university students' training for graduation projects at SASO's laboratories.
Under this memorandum, SASO will contribute in adding ''good laboratory practices'' in the field of ''measurement and calibration'' and ''testing''. Together with the university, SASO will also contribute in adding specialized applied subjects in meteorology and other standardization activities, exchanging advisory expertise in the technical and scientific fields, and providing training courses for its employees.
