Riyadh ​Hosts the Largest International Forum of Product Safety Experts on April 17 

       Riyadh, April 17, will host the largest international forum of experts and specialists in the safety of products, as part of the Saudi Product Safety Forum, organized by SASO, under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, the Minister of Commerce and Investment and Chairman of SASO's Board of Directors.

       Over 30 experts will attend the Forum from 16 countries around the world, including the UK, Korea, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Canada, Bulgaria, Denmark, Brazil, Slovenia and other countries. The Forum will also include representatives from the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology and representatives of the GCC Standardization Organization. Moreover, it will include representatives of United Nations Conference on Trade and Development in addition to the Delegation of the European Union to KSA.

       The Forum will include a number of regional and international product safety experiences through 9 scientific sessions with 31 working papers to review product safety regulations in Saudi Arabia and the GCC as well as the general product safety legislations. Also, it will present regional and global experiences in market surveillance and risk assessment. Furthermore, it will include the development of technical regulations and standards for product safety in addition to other topics.

       The Saudi Product Safety Forum will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Riyadh from 12 to 13 Sha'ban 1440H, corresponding to April 17-18, 2019.
