​SASO Organizes Workshop for Market Observers on Lighting Products Standard

      The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) organized a training workshop for observers on the requirements of the Saudi standard of lighting products - Part II, and the binding of IECEE certificates, which will be applied on April 1 at local ports and factories. The workshop was delivered by Eng. Adel Al-Boqamy, Head of the Energy Efficiency Initiatives Coordination Unit at SASO, on Wednesday, 13/07/2019, in the main hall of SASO's branch in Makkah Region.

      The lectures began with an explanation of the lighting products which the energy efficiency label is applied to, followed by a detailed review of the excluded products that do not apply to the standards. The workshop ended with a panel discussion in which all inquiries were answered.
