SASO receives a delegation from Chinese state market regulatory administration (SMRA)

    SASO has received a delegation from the state market regulatory administration (SMRA) in the People's Republic of China to discuss mutual cooperation to limit non-conforming products to Saudi standards.

     The Chinese side reviewed the efforts and competences of (SMRA)  and was briefed on the presentation of products that are non-conforming to specifications, and the efforts of SASO and related parties in raising the level of secure and safety in products in the Saudi market. Furthermore, the delegation was briefed on the definition of the Saudi Product Safety program, which is one of the initiatives of the National Transition Program 2020, and will aim to improve the quality and safety of products in the market.

   In addition, the delegation visited the laboratories of SASO during which the delegation was reviewed various work units, mechanisms of withdrawal and testing of various products from the market, as well as testing samples transmitted by regulatory bodies such as the Ministry of Commerce and Investment and Saudi Customs.
