SASO and ARAMCO Qualify 22 Technicians for 80 Tests on a Number of Petroleum Products

SASO and Saudi Aramco have completed a qualifying program for (22) technicians of SASO staff, in continuation of collaboration between the two sides. The training program was implemented during the period from March 4th to April 12th, 2018. The technicians were trained on (80) tests on gasoline, diesel and kerosene products, as well as asphalt and jet fuel products.
Mr. Suleman Amer Al Bargan, Executive Director, Domestic Refining and NGL Fractionation at Saudi Aramco, stressed on the importance of collaboration between Aramco and SASO, pointing out the pivotal role played by the laboratories in promoting quality practices and ensuring the technical specifications of products. In addition, he praised the role of SASO in the field of quality and standards.
Furthermore, Mr. Yaser Sonbul, Superintendent of Ras Tanura Laboratory, explained that the training program for SASO's technicians has qualified them for (80) tests on a number of petroleum products, praising the professionalism and commitment of the technicians during the various training stages.
For his part, Mr. Tamis Al Hammadi, Director General of SASO's Branch in the Eastern Province, praised the fruitful collaboration between SASO and Aramco, stressing the keenness of SASO to activate collaboration and integration with all its partners, noting that Aramco contributes with SASO in the preparation of technical regulations and standard specifications. It participates in (10) technical teams of a total of (32) technical teams specialized in the preparation of regulations and standards.
It is noteworthy that the honoring ceremony held in conjunction with the end of the training program, witnessed honoring the technicians who participated in the program.
