King Abdul Aziz Quality Award and Riyadh Chamber Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Serve the Business Sector
King Abdul Aziz Quality Award and Riyadh Chamber signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of awareness raising and spreading the culture of quality and institutional excellence in the business community in Riyadh, today. The memorandum was signed by HE Dr. Sa'ad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, Secretary General of the Award, and Eng. Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Chairman of the Chamber.
For his part, Dr. Sa'ad Al-Kasabi, Secretary General of King Abdul Aziz Quality Award, thanked the Riyadh Chamber for its services and distinguished efforts in the business sector, stressing the keenness of the General Secretariat of the Award to strengthen cooperation with all governmental and private bodies in addition to civil society organizations to establish and spread a culture of quality and institutional excellence in the various sectors. He called various parties to adopt the Award's model of institutional excellence as one of the most important essentials in the process of improvement and continuous development.
On the other hand, Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi said that King Abdul Aziz Quality Award motivates and reinforces quality practices and applications in all sectors in the Kingdom, which will contribute in achieving the strategic objectives of the Saudi industry to become one of the leading regional and international industries and enhance the quality of the national product. Moreover, he pointed out the keenness of Riyadh Chamber to enhance cooperation with the Award to work on raising the level of quality and performance in business sectors in order to achieve the strategic and development goals of the Kingdom.
The memorandum aims at encouraging cooperation between the two parties in the field of awareness raising, spreading the culture of quality, and institutional excellence and its prizes among various sectors in the region, in addition to organizing conferences, seminars and lectures of common interest. Moreover, it aims at participating in discussion sessions and workshops held by the two parties, as well as the events organized by each party in the field of quality.
