 Managing Partner of Oakland Consulting: Vision 2030 is a Historical Transformation Stage for the Saudi Economy

During the Third Session within the Events of the 6th  National Quality Conference

Dammam -
      Mr. Mike Turner, Managing Partner of Oakland Consulting, United Kingdom, said that Saudi Arabia is at a great historical stage and has an ambitious vision in its national economy through Vision 2030. He added that the 21st  century witnesses a great and rapid changes in all areas of life. This requires us to reconsider the method and speed of dealing with these variables and redefine quality because there are misconceptions of quality for some leaders. In addition, he indicated that, at the same time, there is a global challenge in quality, as well as a growing demand for services of high quality.

      Mr. Turner said, during the third session within the events of the 6th  National Quality Conference, held in the city of Dammam, that there is a renewable risk in training and production, but with the improvement of the quality of services, it is easy to remove these fears and make progress into the best.

      Mr. Turner likened quality in the past to a policeman tracking weaknesses and strengths, but at present, the situation has changed and quality is now playing a strategic role. He said that quality professionals should focus on three key points: "speed of change journey, tolerance of future risks, low cost of risk".

      During the session, the advisor for Sheikh Khalifa Government excellence Program, Eng. Mohammed Habib, said that the implementation of excellence in the government sector is linked to the modern concepts of excellence, which follow the principle of renewable thinking through implementing models of pioneering businesses in the governmental work by implementing a set of abilities of systems and initiatives to reach excellence in the governmental work and achieve international leadership. Furthermore, he indicated that the government excellence system focuses on the results and the distinctive abilities to encourage institutions to achieve leadership.

      ​However, the last worksheet during the third session, focused on the digital customer and the technical transformation in Vision 2030, through which the professor of quality and organizational excellence at King Abdulaziz University, Dr. Mohammed Nasief, talked about the importance of the customer from the perspective of scientists, as well as the importance of seeking customer satisfaction and investment. Moreover, he talked about the fourth generation of quality and the age of artificial intelligence revolution of digital information, in addition to the changing customer expectations and how to manage them.
