Singaporean Experts: KSA Is Undergoing a Major Transformation Stage

Vice- Chairman, Singapore Quality Institute (SQI) Mr. Kitson Leonard , has praised Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, stressing that the Kingdom is undergoing a major historical transformation stage towards achieving the goals of its ambitious vision through the National Transformation Program which is based on solid foundations for transforming Saudi Arabia into a developed country. In addition, he has indicated that his country has passed a similar stage before achieving a high level in technology and manufacturing.
This came during a session in which the Singaporean experience was reviewed within the events of the second day of the 6th National Quality Conference, organized by SASO under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Chairman of SASO's Board of directors, Dr. Majid Al Qasabi, under the slogan " Quality… the Path Toward Excellence and Leadership", on Wednesday in the city of Dammam.
He added that it is necessary for achieving economic prosperity to adopt the foundations of the culture of excellence, relying on leaders who create values and principles that serve as a basis for work, in addition to flexibility in performance to allow retreat from any wrong policies or actions at the right time.
He pointed out that values and culture should be the main source of continuity, and leaders must achieve a level of leadership for the organization to ensure success, which can be achieved by establishing effective and transparent performance indicator, pointing at the same time that the culture of excellence cannot happen by chance, because it is a key function of the leader. In addition, ignoring these issues lead to the deterioration of the status of any organization.
Furthermore, on the excellence experience of Singapore, the guest country, Chairman of the Singapore Quality Institute (SQI), Mr. Tan Gheng Een, said that the most important features of the experience are the interest of the leadership side, customers, strategies of the market, and demand and knowledge of feedback, by reviewing the experience of two companies.
For her part, Dr. Narinder Kaur from the National Library Board (NLB) Singapore, said innovation is the key factor in enhancing operations, and contributes to decision making to enhance the quality of providing services and achieving results, expressing willingness to cooperate with various bodies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve the body's objectives of the national vision, within the overall vision of the country.
