Al-Sulami: "Kaizen" Methodology Verifies Quality, Enhances Competitiveness, and Supports Saudi Vision 2030

     The expert of "Kaizen" methodology, Eng. Saleh Al-Sulami said that the Saudi companies have started to implement "Kaizen" approach, which is one of the keys to competitive success, the most important concept in management, business development and achievement of personal business objectives. He stressed that the implementation and training of Kaizenhaa "Kaizen it" methodology started three years ago and witnessing great attendance after its success at the level of companies or even individuals.

     Al-Sulami added, during a workshop he has delivered with the title of       " Kaizen it and Saudi Vision 2030- Vision and Youth of Future", as part of the program accompanying the Sixth National Quality Conference, that: implementing "Kaizen" for youth means continuous improvement with the participation of all members of the community in these improvements, using traditional knowledge and tools, without huge capital investments which certainly lead to achieving the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030. Therefore, "Kaizen" is briefly an awareness and training program to improve the knowledge, skills and behavior of the participants to ensure "Kaizen" goals and achieve continuous improvement processes in line with the vision of the Kingdom.

     Furthermore, Al-Sulami called for the importance of following "Kaizen" methodology as one of the main programs that can be a distinguished scientific contribution to achieve the future vision of quality in the Kingdom. He stressed that "Kaizen" program aims to ensure that "Saudi Arabia with its services and products becomes a global standard for quality and excellence by 2020," as well as supporting the Kingdoms' Vision 2030.

     Eng. Al-Sulami stated that "with the increasing demand in the recent period for quality programs and for increasing the efficiency of production and excellence of services and initiatives in the Kingdom, it is necessary to follow many and multiple value-added programs of quality," noting that " 'Kaizen' program is one of these programs that meet the concerns of future leaders of youth who are a cornerstone of achieving the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030. "

     He added, "the Kingdom is undergoing rapid historical transformations at various levels, especially at the economic and industrial level, and no one disputes the importance of quality and institutional excellence in the success of any business or field, for no other reason than it is the essential element in the excellence of any product or service."

     It is noteworthy that the first day events of the 6th  National Quality Conference, organized by SASO under the patronage of the Minister of Commerce and Investment (MCI), Chairman of SASO's Board of Directors, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, has started this Tuesday morning in the city of Dammam. The conference is under the slogan" «Quality … the Path Toward Excellence and Leadership»", with 6 workshops reviewed and discussed the experiences of the countries participating in the conference in the field of quality, measurement and innovation. In addition, the workshops discussed the vision of the Kingdom 2030 and the role of youth in the field of innovation, quality and institutional excellence.
