SASO's Governor: We are working on the 6th National Quality Conference to be an opportunity to inspire our national institutions towards excellence

On Thursday, SASO held a press conference at its headquarters in Riyadh to announce the details of the 6th National Quality Conference, organized by SASO under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi. The conference will be held during the period from 10-12 Rabi'I, corresponding to 28-30 November, in Dammam, under the slogan "Quality…the path toward excellence and leadership", with the participation of quality experts from the Kingdom and abroad in order to support and enhance the quality process in the Kingdom.
H.E. Dr. Sa'ad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Conference said, "SASO is working to promote and spread the culture of quality seriously, as it is the official umbrella of quality activities in the Kingdom through many events and activities including organizing the National Quality Conference every two years". He stressed, "The conference is a scientific forum in which we look to gather national and international specialists and experts in the field of quality to share experiences and practical quality activities through reviewing successful international and regional experiences that will inspire our institutions and national institutions to activate the role of quality in achieving sustainable development in our generous kingdom."
He stressed that the importance of this session of the National Quality Conference stems from its being the first session after the inauguration of the Kingdom for its ambitious vision, "Saudi Arabia 2030", which aims primarily to achieve the Kingdom's leadership at all levels and in various fields. "This approach was reinforced by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, when he said: My first goal is to make the Kingdom a model and a pioneer in the world at all levels," he added.
Dr. Sa'ad Al-Kasabi said that the conference aims to spread the culture of quality in different sectors of society, take a look at the latest trends and applications in the field of total quality, and highlight its role in strengthening the national economy. Also, it focuses on applied practices of quality, in the fields of quality. Furthermore, it promotes principles and methodologies of creativity and innovation in order to develop and improve the quality of national services and products. In addition, the conference will discuss quality applications in the business sectors.
In his turn, Eng. Saud bin Rashid Al-Askar, Deputy Governor of SASO for Quality and Conformity, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Conference, pointed out that the conference will address a number of topics such as quality and its role in achieving the initiatives of the Kingdom Vision 2030; quality as a competitive advantage and modern trends of quality; and quality applications and their role in reducing waste and enhancing productivity with organizations. It will also discuss positive results of the effective application of the programs of institutional quality and national infrastructure for quality, creativity, innovation, quality initiatives of the future generation and a number of topics that concern quality.
Dr. Ayed bin Talea Al Amri, Chairman of the Scientific Committee, said that it includes a large number of scientific lectures, working papers and sessions that discuss the latest studies and practical experiences of quality. Moreover, the conference will review the experience of the Republic of Singapore to highlight Singapore's best practices and applications in the field of quality. The program includes 6 scientific sessions, 21 scientific lectures and 6 workshops. The conference will be attended by leading international experts from the following countries: (United States - United Kingdom - Germany - South Korea - New Zealand - India - United Arab Emirates - Hong Kong).
