SASO is organizing 3 workshops in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam to introduce the Technical Regulation of Water Efficiency Devices. The regulation will come into mandatory effect on Muharram 1st, 1439 H, corresponding to September 21st, 2017. The workshops aim at introducing manufacturers and importers to the technical requirements of the regulation and the products that will be covered by the regulation.

     SASO will start this awareness program by holding a workshop directed to manufacturers and importers at the headquarters of Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday, Shawwal 25th, 1438 H, corresponding to July 19th, 2017. The second workshop will be organized on Dhu al-Qidah 3rd, 1438 H, corresponding to July 26th, 2017, at the headquarters of Asharqia Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The third workshop, which will be directed to manufacturers and importers, will be held at the headquarters of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday, Dhu al-Qidah 10th, 1438 H, corresponding to August 2nd, 2017. 

     SASO has illustrated that the Technical Regulation of Water Efficiency Devices aims to rationalize water consumption through products that are included in the regulation. The rationalization will be in accordance with specified rates of consumption in order to maintain resources and national economy and enhance mechanisms that reduce costs paid by consumers. SASO has confirmed that the regulation will be implemented on local and imported products.
