Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), Mr. Vincent Alexander visited SASO and met with SASO Governor, HE Dr. Saad bin Othman Al- Kasabi, to discuss several issues related to quality and enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of spreading the culture of quality and its applications in various sectors, in addition to exchanging experiences between SASO and CQI.

​       The visit included a general lecture for SASO's staff, presented by CQI Chief. In the lecture, CQI Chief spoke about the functions and efforts of the institute in the field of quality dissemination in the UK. This event comes as part of SASO'S keenness to familiarize its employees with various international experiences to further develop performance in line with global practices. 

​       Moreover, CQI Chief Executive Officer visited SASO's Training Center and took a look at the training plans in the field of quality systems and qualification of auditors, in addition to other fields related to quality systems and conformity. Furthermore, he toured SASO's laboratories, including the Energy Efficiency Laboratory, National Measurement and Calibration Center (NMCC) and Time and Frequency Laboratory. He also viewed the Kingdom's efforts in the field of legal calibration.

​       ​Mr. Vincent Alexander expressed his pleasure about Saudi Arabia's outstanding level in the fields of standardization, calibration and quality. He commended the great development in the infrastructure and the methods of inspection, testing and calibration. In addition, he expressed his hope to strengthen cooperation between CQI and SASO in a way that benefits everyone.
