A delegation from the Saudi Society for Quality (SSQ)  has visited SASO in the framework of cooperation and integration between the governmental sector and civil society organizations, to identify the various efforts and initiatives undertaken by SASO in the field of standards, conformity assessment, laboratories and various quality systems and other issues related to SASO's authorities . The delegation was headed by Dr. Fahad bin Mohammad Al-Bejaidi, Chairman of (SSQ) Board of Directors and a number of senior officials of (SSQ).

     The delegation started the visit with a meeting with the Deputy Governor of SASO for conformity and quality Eng. Saud bin Rashid Al Askar. The Chairman of (SSQ) Board of Directors and his accompanying delegation met with HE Dr. Saad bin Othman Al Kasabi, Governor of SASO, and a number of SASO officials to review joint cooperation aspects related to quality and promoting its applications and dissemination of its culture under the cooperation agreement signed between the two sides.

     Subsequent to that, the delegation completed the visit by a briefing visit to SASO's laboratories, in which the delegation listened to a detailed explanation of the equipment and the scope of laboratories work, as well as the stages of testing products and other technical issues related to the products quality. The delegation also visited the National Measurement and Calibration Center (NMCC) to identify its role as the national reference for measurement and calibration in the Kingdom, and responsible for preserving national, reference, secondary measurements and those under operation. In addition, (NMCC) is responsible for maintaining those measurements and promoting their accuracy as well as calibrating devices and measurements of calibration with the highest level of accuracy. 

     For their part, (SSQ) members has appreciated the role of SASO and its efforts in spreading and promoting quality culture in various fields, and its role in raising the levels of safety of goods and products, praising the achievements achieved in various fields of SASO.
