SASO Achieves First-Place in Electronic Transformation Measurement Report

At the Level of Government Financial and Commercial Sector,
SASO Achieves First-Place in Electronic Transformation Measurement Report 


     Results of the annual report to measure the shift to e-government transactions, released by e-Government Program (Yesser), showed that Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) achieved the first-place in the financial and commercial sector. SASO achieved a percentage of 87% in the sector covered by "Excellence and Improvement" phase, in the seventh measurement (Qiyas 7), in which 8 different government bodies fall under. Among other categories in the report, electronic transformation of 162 government bodies were measured.

     SASO expressed its honor of such development in its electronic services, which contributed to raising the quality and efficiency of technical and administrative performance at all levels. SASO pointed out its intention to continue to study the achievement of the highest levels of utilization of technical development to serve users of its services in all sectors. 

     SASO noted that this achievement is a continuation of the success achieved by the Information Technology Sector, at SASO, during this year, as SASO was awarded the Middle East Smart Government & Smart Cities Excellence Award for the development of the e-Manual System for Standards "Wasif". Also, "Verify" application received Smart Government Award for smart applications, which is an award whose standards are to be set in cooperation with the United Nations. In addition, Vehicle Inspection e-Service received Smart Government Award for the category of websites, which is also an award whose standards are to be set in cooperation with the United Nations.

     SASO stressed its keen interest in keeping pace with technical development, in addition to adapting solutions and electronic tools, to serve its objectives and achieve its strategic vision in all technical and administrative sectors, in a manner that is reflected in achieving the highest levels of efficiency in performance and speed in delivery.
