SASO Enhances Skills of 70 Employees at Laboratories
SASO organized two training programs entitled "Basic Concepts of Accurate Measurements", introduced by the expert and consultant Dr. Mamdouh Halawa and "Technical Requirements for the International Standard ISO-IEC 17025/2005", introduced by the expert and consultant Dr. Adel Bassiouni. The two training programs came in line with the efforts exerted at SASO to enhance competences and skills of employees, especially at laboratories sector.
70 trainees with different specializations, from SASO laboratories at SASO headquarters in Riyadh and SASO branches in Makkah and the Western Province, participated in the two programs. The programs lasted for 5 days and covered various themes, such as how to develop and analyze process control diagrams inside laboratories, estimation of uncertainty in testing, test validation, metrological traceability, quality assurance processes inside laboratories represented by the Proficiency Testing for laboratories (PT), test methods using Certified Reference Materials (CRM) and the application of CRM for quality assurance of laboratories.
Organizing such training programs came in line with the great development in laboratories sector at SASO. SASO laboratories have had noticeable activities over the last period, seen in providing specialized programs for their employees to reinforce their technical skills. These activities came in accordance with SASO plans to raise the level of services provided for beneficiaries in order to be professional and have high quality. Consequently, customer safety will be maintained and enhanced and trading non-conforming products and goods will be limited.
