SASO participated in Saudi Power 2016, during the period from 2nd to 4th of Sha'ban, 1437 AH, at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICEC), along with nearly 220 exhibitors from international and national specialized bodies and companies in the field. SASO participated in a specialized pavilion equipped with various methods to raise awareness of the relevant standard specifications and present them to specialists and visitors.

Such participation aims at opening communication channels directly with consumers, providing them with guidance information that contribute to the rationalization of electricity consumption, and protecting them from the damage of products non-conforming to Saudi standard specifications. SASO's pavilion included a number of illustrative means and awareness brochures that reflect power realities in the Kingdom and repeated warnings of increased wastage rates.

In the exhibition, SASO's employees reviewed latest approved updates on the standards of electrical appliances; such as air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines, which would rationalize electricity consumption. Part of the exhibition was dedicated to introduce power strips conforming to Saudi standard specifications on the occasion of SASO's awareness campaign launched recently, in collaboration with Aramco. The campaign aims at reducing the risk of non-conforming power strips.

Saudi Power 2016 is held in order to raise the level of awareness and introduce new innovative products to power users. Also, it seeks to shed light on the reality of the electricity sector in the Kingdom.
