In the framework of technical cooperation with the Tunisian Accreditation Council, Saudi Accreditation Committee (SAC) has organized two training courses  on laboratory accreditation requirements according to the standard (ISO 17025), entitled " General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories". The courses were presented by Eng. Adel Al-Bledi and Eng. Shukri AlJabari, with the presence of a number of SASO's employees working in the fields of calibration, laboratories and certification.

The training program aims to identify the general requirements of efficiency required for the implementation of analysis and calibration. In addition, it means to identify the methods used to create, design, document and implement quality systems in laboratories (administrative requirements), as well as the methods used to create, design, document and apply technical requirements for the laboratories of analysis and calibration. Furthermore, it intends to gain the ability of evaluating laboratories according to the standard (ISO 17025).

(SAC) aims, through this program, to  give trainees the knowledge and skills related to the requirements of the ISO standard (17025), in order to qualify them as evaluators in this field.
