SASO participates in the activities of the 32nd unified GCC Traffic Week, held under the slogan "Your decision determines your destiny" during the period from 4-8 Jumada II 1437 AH corresponding to 13-17 March 2016, in Riyadh. The activities are held at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the region. His Highness made an inspection tour around the exhibition and visited SASO's pavilion.

SASO's participation in this exhibition comes as part of its social responsibility and awareness role in sending targeted awareness messages, confirming its commitment to the safety and security of the citizen. This is made through cooperation between SASO and competent authorities to work on raising the community's level of awareness and to focus on the importance of adhering to standard specifications. In addition, the booth introduced the various services offered by SASO especially regarding the safety of the citizen while driving the vehicle.

SASO's participation in the exhibition also includes introducing citizens to the importance of using seat belts, airbags, tires, batteries, motor oils and under-run devices for trucks and trailers, in addition to other matters concerning the safety and security of citizens on the road.

It is noteworthy that the General Directorate of Traffic has announced the opportunity for all public and private sectors to participate in this event, in order to send awareness message to all segments of society, making this program comprehensive and different than the ones in the past.

The GCC traffic week events embody solidarity between GCC Member States. Furthermore, it shows that the traffic cooperation journey between them has come a long way and that it is based on well-established rules.
