SASO's Lecture on «The Latest Edition of Quality Management System ISO 9001» at the Directorate of Civil Defense in Jeddah
SASO has Participated, today Wednesday, in an awareness lecture on quality for the employees of the Civil Defense Authority entitled "ISO 9001 Quality Management System ISO 9001 latest edition " at the Directorate of Civil Defense in Jeddah.
The lecture given by Eng. Saud Al Shabanat, Director of the Department of Management Systems at SASO, has presented the best ways to implement quality systems to achieve ISO 9001,and the required steps to reach the application of the quality management system.
"Al Shabanat" has said, during the lecture, that "The standard (ISO 9001 latest edition 2015), included amendments to the accreditation bodies, certification bodies, training providers, advisory bodies, and the customers themselves."
He has explained, that " establishments obtaining ISO 9001, should meet the requirements of quality systems control, whether in performance or releasing products that are perfectly conforming to the standards ."
The lecturer pointed out that "the institution's commitment to ISO 9001 certificate, imposes controlling, measuring and adjusting the quality levels of its products and its business. In addition, he has stressed on " the need for establishments to make reviews and internal audits to the procedures of management and quality systems, yearly. "
He also stressed on "the importance of promotion and dissemination of quality management culture in establishments, whatever the amount of their business."
The lecture came within the framework of cooperation and coordination between the General Directorate of Civil Defense and SASO and as a part of the efforts aiming at raising awareness of the systems and applications of quality, their role in developing the performance of establishments' business and their ability to thrive and compete.
