SASO Holds an Awareness Lecture to Directorate of Civil Defense in Makkah on ISO 9001
SASO's branch in Makkah organized an awareness lecture to employees of General Directorate of Civil Defense in Makkah region, on Wednesday Jumada -Al-Awwal 29, 1437 AH, corresponding to March 9, 2016, in the presence of the Director General of the branch, Mr. Mutlaq bin Raji Al-Tayari, and the Assistant Director General of Civil Defense in Makkah, Maj. Gen. Sami bin Humaid Aljada'ani.
Eng. Saud Al-Shabanat has delivered a lecture to introduce requirements of international standard ISO 9001. The standard aims to identify performance indicators, measure compliance with them, identify challenges, address aspects in need to be strengthened, prepare a detailed report on results of the evaluation, and present the results to senior leadership. After that, it sets an action plan to develop improvement areas and opportunities.
For his part, the Director General of the branch in Makkah expressed his thanks and appreciation to all participants in this event. He clarified that SASO has specialized expertise in the field of quality assessment, improvement and application. Also, he pointed out that this lecture comes within the framework of the efforts made by SASO in disseminating, rooting and enhancing quality culture within government bodies and the private sector to contribute to increasing the effectiveness of performance in order to improve services provided to citizens and measure their institutional excellence. On this occasion, the Director General of the branch received a trophy from Civil Defense.
