Deputy Governor of Jeddah visits SASO's Corner Participating in the World Civil Defense Day
His Excellency Mr. Mohammad bin Hamad Al-Wafi, Deputy Governor of Jeddah, has visited SASO's corner in Makkah province participating in the World Civil Defense Day events on Tuesday, 21/05/1437 AH under the slogan (Media … Protection) in the presence of SASO's General Manager in Makkah province Mr. Mutlaq bin Raji Al Tayari.
Mr. Ahmad Al Dhaheri, Director of Public Relations and Media in the branch, has given an explanation, to the Deputy Governor and guests of the corner, about SASO's role in issuing standards to maintain fire security and safety and prevention of electrical appliances risk. He has explained that SASO has efforts to inform consumers to view manuals of electrical appliances they purchased, and the need to be aware to signs guide warning for each product to be used in the right way.
After that, Mr. Ahmad Al Dhaheri has handed a present to Mr. Mohammad Al Wafi a media file and some awareness gifts that spread awareness culture to be careful of dangers. At the end of the visit, the Deputy Governor of Jeddah has thanked SASO's branch for what it is doing to protect the consumer and the market, and for the continuing participation in all events and exhibitions in the province, which illustrates the higher message of SASO to reach all segments of society.
On the other hand, the Civil Defense Directorate indicated that awareness activities will permeate the events of civil defense, this year, will be spread through local media , social networks, and applications of Civil Defense via smart devices, which provide all the information and instructions about violations against safety requirements, and what may result as risks. In addition, there are information about the role of the individual to seek safety, follow safety procedures and systems in workplaces in different activities, and to report any irregularities or abuses that prejudice the effectiveness of these regulations or preclude using them in an emergencies. A number of events of World Civil Defense Day were allocated to deliver awareness messages to women, children and people with special needs.
