The ceremony will be held next Sha'aban, God willing, to review excellent experiences and best quality practices in the Kingdom.

For his part, Dr. Sa'ad bin Othman Al-Kasabi, Secretary General of the award, appreciated the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to this honoring ceremony, saying that such care comes in continuation of the blessed unsurprising support, from the rulers of this country to support and enhance quality concepts and applications in various sectors.

Al-Kasabi pointed out that the General Secretariat of the Award has finished receiving establishments' applications last Muharram, noting that the committees had started examining submitted applications from establishments, and notifying them of attending a training course on how to write a biography for an establishment. After attending the course, a due date will be set for submitting establishments' biographies. Al-Kasabi added saying that after examining and reviewing the biographies, the commission responsible for the Award informs the establishment of field assessment date and requirements that might be needed by the Award or evaluators. Then reports and evaluating teams are discussed by a judging committee, which is made up of quality experts , to take out and approve the final report.

Al-Kasabi also stressed that this round is characterized by competition  among seven categories of the private sector: large and medium services and production establishments, private universities, private educational schools, and private hospitals with a capacity of more than 100 beds. He emphasized that the award is the official National Award of Excellence in the Kingdom. The General Secretariat of the award made sure the award matches the standards of its counterparts in other countries around the world.

He expressed his confidence that the award promotes competition, by providing a general referential framework to evaluate and improve the performance of public and private establishments, in accordance with adopted national standards. Also, he pointed out the importance of motivating sectors to adopt quality and excellence principles, through the application of the national model of excellence and the adoption of its standards. This promotes the concepts and applications of performance measurement and continuous improvement of businesses, in pursuit of satisfying all stakeholders and beneficiaries, and raising the level of administrative leadership in establishments.
