Remarkable Presence of SASO at Saudi Build 2014
SASO participated in the activities of the 26th International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition "Saudi Build 2014" during the period of 17th -20th Muharram, 1436 AH, corresponding to 10th- 13th November, 2014, at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC) with the participation of more than 850 exhibitors from 36 countries. This comes within the framework of SASO and concerned bodies' efforts to support the Saudi building and construction sector, activate the National Energy Efficiency Strategy, and apply thermal insulation systems in buildings which are recently launched.
SASO has succeeded, through its pavilion, to draw the attention of participating real estate developers, engineering offices, contracting companies and others to its tireless efforts to update and activate standards in the construction sector so as to comply with the latest developments and technologies in this area. SASO's pavilion had a range of equipment and interactive presentations that attracted visitors and was praised by specialists and those interested.
The participation of SASO, in this huge exhibition, comes to introduce its efforts in supporting the Saudi building and construction sector. SASO has issued about 3768 Saudi standards that include technical requirements which must be met in the construction and building materials, and it is currently preparing 84 new standards in this area. In addition, it adopted long time ago the preparation of Saudi Building Code, which includes many construction regulations and requirements related to business architecture, quality of use, and construction systems of buildings.
