SASO's Branch in the Eastern Province Participates in the Celebration of the World Quality Day
SASO's branch in the Eastern Province participated, with countries of the world, in the celebration of the World Quality Day, which takes place every year on the second Thursday of November, and was this year on Thursday, Muharram 20, 1436 AH corresponding to November 13, 2014 under the slogan "Let's Build a Quality World Together".
The General Director of SASO's branch in the Eastern Province, Mr. Tamis Al Hammadi, has indicated -during his speech on behalf of His Excellency Dr. Saad bin Othman Al Kasabi, Governor of SASO- on the occasion of the seminar accompanying the events of the International Day of Quality, that SASO made a series of efforts in the field of quality and spreading its concepts and applications on all government and private bodies. The latest was a series of informative seminars about the National Strategy Project for Quality in which many people interested in quality from major sectors in the Kingdom participated.
Al Hammadi pointed out that this event is a continuation of the integrated efforts in introducing and spreading the concepts of quality. It is an additional start for introducing the National Strategy for Quality to reach different groups of society, and discuss quality issue in different sectors such as health, education, etc., to achieve the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Quality 2020" to make Saudi products and services a global standard for quality and excellence".
This seminar included many Working Papers in the field of quality which focused on the necessary operations in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001, the challenges of invisible quality , and quality management in purchases and their appropriate measures. It also focused on necessary steps that can be taken to make organizations reach excellent performance which enables competition on international quality awards in addition to introducing the Saudi Society for Quality.
