Governor of SASO's Speech on Allegiance-Pledge Anniversary
We congratulate ourselves on the first year's achievements of the reign of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, may Allah preserve him, and recommit our pledge of allegiance and loyalty to him; his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz; and Deputy Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz.
The wise achievements and policies approved by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah support him, push forward the national shift in Saudi income, to build a less oil-dependent economy, and enhance the value of human capital, so the homeland would benefit from Saudi youth energies in continuing economic growth. Decisions taken by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques emphasize Saudi youth empowerment and open up broader horizons for them to participate in the rise of our generous kingdom, to confirm its leadership among countries of the world and region.
The first year of King Salman's decisive reign has witnessed strategic decisions aimed at supporting national industries, which indicates a governmental insistence on the diversification of resources and enhancement of competitiveness of Saudi economy to achieve sustainable economic growth. In addition, it has witnessed remarkable efforts exerted by the Kingdom to provide all means of support and comfort to its citizens, residents, and guests whether pilgrims, Umrah performers or visitors to the Prophet's Mosque.
The kingdom has lived, through this year, a unique shift at all levels which indicates that Saudi Arabia follows a long-term strategy aims to support the welfare of the citizen and strengthen the position of the Kingdom. The foreign policy, of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, succeeded in consolidating the position of the Kingdom and its presence in political decision-making and international economy. The Saudi policy, with its firm stands on many issues, proved its central role in dealing with various challenges facing the region currently.
We are confident that these steps strengthen the leading position of the Kingdom, maintain the gains of Saudi citizens and bring them the stability and prosperity, which everyone wishes, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown. What the kingdom achieved during the first year of the reign of King Salman makes every Saudi citizen proud.
I ask Allah Almighty to lead the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' steps to the right path, grant him good health, maintain glory on our dear Kingdom, and protect it from all harm.
