SASO Celebrates World Quality Day Next Thursday
Under the patronage of His Excellency, the Governor of SASO, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al Kasabi, SASO participates with countries of the world, in the celebration of the World Quality Day, which takes place every year on the second Thursday of November, and was this year on Thursday, Muharram 20, 1436 AH corresponding to November 13, 2014 under the slogan "Let's Build a Quality World Together".
SASO has clarified that it will organize a seminar along with the activities of this day, in collaboration with the Saudi Society for Quality, on Thursday morning, at SASO's headquarters in Riyadh. The seminar will discuss a number of specialized topics, presented by a group of specialists in this field, related to total quality management, its methods and different applications. In addition, it will introduce objectives, functions and authorities of the Saudi Society for Quality.
SASO clarified, in a statement on this occasion, that its participation is a part of its efforts to spread, consolidate, and enhance quality within government bodies and private sector. Thus, this contributes to raise the effectiveness of performance to improve services provided to citizens, measure institutional excellence, and promote national products .
SASO indicated that it has given quality an extreme care and attention, and set many operational programs and plans in order to contribute to the achievement of quality in national products and services. Also, it has developed a large number of standards to ensure the quality of local and imported products. Further, SASO has developed many regulations and measures in the field of quality for fundamental tasks and purposes assigned to SASO, knowing the importance of adopting quality as an issue and a national demand, so as to achieve the vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Quality 2020" " to make Saudi products and services a global standard for quality and excellence ".
