Joint Training Program Between SASO and EOS for General Safety in Laboratories         In the framework of the international technical cooperation program between SASO and its counterparts in various European and Arab countries, SASO hosted three training courses on (OSHA requirements for general safety - application on laboratory) during the period from 2nd - 20th Muharram, 1436 AH, corresponding to 26/10/2014 - 13/11/2014, at Dammam branch, Makkah branch, and its headquarters in Riyadh, in collaboration with the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality(ESO). Events of the first course started at SASO's branch in the Eastern Province (Dammam branch), continued at its headquarters in Riyadh, and were concluded at its branch in Makkah.       Each course lasted for five consecutive days and discussed a number of key axes in the general safety area in order to provide participants with methods of risk assessment and define precaution measures to mitigate their impact. This will help in equipping participants with necessary knowledge and skills of the process concept and planning for safety programs in laboratories.      For his part, His Excellency the Governor of SASO, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Kasabi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency, Maj. Gen. Eng. Ahmad Bassiouni Mohammad, Vice Chairman of ESO, for the outstanding efforts he exerted by offering training courses and for the valuable information discussed during these courses.
