SASO Participates in 3rd International Laboratory Technology Conference in Bahrain
SASO participated in the activities of the Third International Laboratory Technology Conference through the working paper "Challenges of the Application of Laboratory Quality System Standard " ISO 17025 ".
This conference, which was organized by Saudi Aramco in Bahrain in collaboration with a number of relevant authorities and associations, is considered one of the most important specialized forums in the region. It witnessed the participation of more than 500 specialists and experts from various countries around the world. Also, it presented and discussed more than 100 scientific papers; most of which dealt with the latest developments and achievements in chemistry, modern technology transfer in laboratories, and best practices in petroleum and petrochemical laboratories' management.
Mr. Tamis bin Ali Al-Hammadi, General Director of SASO at Dammam branch, participated as a speaker in the closing session "discussion forum" at the Conference with a working paper entitled " Challenges of the Application of Laboratory Quality System Standard- ISO 17025". During this session, a number of specialists and experts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Kingdom and the United States of America were speakers as well.
Conference participants, from various sectors, discussed a number of topics where best practices and experiences related to laboratory developments and different technologies were presented. The conference witnessed an active exchange of scientific and professional experiences between participants and speakers. Mr. Al-Hammadi described the conference's discussions and theses as fruitful, adding that the conference ended with a number of recommendations that participants hope to be achieved and activated prior to the Fourth International Conference which will be held in Qatar in 2017.
It is worth mentioning that the Third International Laboratory Technology Conference was held recently in Bahrain for three days, under the slogan ( Toward Excellence in Petroleum and Petrochemical Laboratories' Management) along with a specialized exhibition to show latest technology and modern high-end devices needed in petroleum and petrochemical laboratories.
