A delegation from the Institute of Land Forces Aviation visits SASO and views procedures of granting ISO 9001 certificate.
A delegation from the Institute of Land Forces Aviation under the leadership of Royal Saudi Land Forces, Ministry of Defense, headed by Staff Brigadier General Pilot Abdullah Al-Shahrani, has visited SASO on Wednesday 2 Muharram 1436 AH, corresponding to 25 October 2014. That was in the framework of the efforts made by SASO in awarding management systems certificates ISO 9001 / 2008. The delegation also included a number of employees of the Institute of Land Forces Aviation.
The delegation began the visit by viewing SASO's efforts in the field of standardization and standards and their effective role in supporting the national economy and industry by accrediting more than 28 thousand Saudi standards. In addition, those standards keep up with the global economic and industrial variables.
The Institute has discussed with SASO, the mechanisms and procedures for obtaining the certificate of quality management systems ISO 9001/2008. During the visit, a system has been reviewed which includes a set of processes, and work procedures and instructions beneficial to the bodies obtained the certificate. The most important of those are; fulfilling customers' requirements, the ability to compete in global markets, achieving continuous improvement of administrative performance, assisting in resources rationalization and conservation, and to improve the performance of suppliers. The delegation also has discussed with SASO the opportunities for joint cooperation and mutual support in this area, for the interest of both parties.
At the end of the visit, the delegation has valued the celebration received by SASO, expressing its appreciation for the distinctive efforts in the field of standards, metrology and quality.
