SASO hosts the events of border control procedures program and   customs clearance

     SASO hosts on Wednesday and Thursday 4- 5/02/1436 AH corresponding to 26- 27 November 2014,a training program in cooperation with GSO under the title "border control procedures and   customs clearance in light of the legislative system to adjust products in   gulf common market", at SASO's headquarters in Riyadh.

     The program aims to develop the scientific and professional side of the participants by providing border control mechanisms, and display the European experience in this context. In addition, the program aims to   review relevant legislative contexts, and the role of institutions in the harmonization of control procedures and customs clearance.

     GSO and SASO have called upon all professionals and those interested in this aspect to participate in this program, especially specialists of audit bodies in member states, specialists from market survey institutions and national standardization bodies, and specialists in conformity assessment authorities (testing laboratories and various conformity certificates donors). Technicians in the private sector, concerned in products conformity, can also take advantage of what will be launched through this outstanding training program.

    The Belgian expert Robert Murphy, who is one of the best experts specialized in monitoring and developing trade policies, and has a long experience in EU legislation relevant to product safety and market surveillance, will lecture in this session. In addition, the Tunisian expert Sami Bouaziz, who also has a proven track record of working in this area, will lecture too.

     The program events will be centered on border control of the EU, as well as the legal framework and European directives related, and the review of the European experiences in the field of border control. The  program will discuss assessment of the legislative framework of border control and control mechanism within the legislative system, shed light on the role of regulatory institutions, and the best ways of cooperation and coordination among GCC standardization authorities and bodies to adjust products in the Gulf market.
