Workshop on circuit breakers organized by SASO in collaboration with NEMA
SASO, represented by the Saudi National Electrotechnical Commission (SNEC), in collaboration with The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), organizes a two-day awareness workshop for professionals on the circuit breakers, at the headquarters of SASO in Riyadh during the period from 25-26 Muharram, 1436 AH, corresponding to 18 -19 November, 2014. The workshop will include a selection of circuit breakers experts.
Activities of the first day of the workshop will start with a scientific session deals with safety standards, technical specifications and certification of electrical breakers presented by the international expert Kevin Lippert. Also, Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulkarim will highlight SNEC's efforts. The first day activities will conclude with a third scientific session by Kevin Lippert and Johnson Potter presenting an introduction and assessment of the latest trends in the circuit breakers industry to participants. The second day of the workshop will include two sessions which deal with the latest technical developments in this industry in addition to experts' evaluation and recommendations for current and future needs in the Kingdom.
These efforts come in the framework of SASO's concern to exchange experiences, raise the efficiency of national manpower and train them in a professional manner through direct contact with various international experiences, and the establishment of periodical educational and professional activities to improve the scientific and technical level of employees and specialists in this field.
SNEC aims to prepare ways and means that ensure improving the quality and quantity of Saudi electrical standard specifications, promoting the national industrial position against international industries groupings. Further, they ensure unifying, organizing, and investing common efforts of committee members to achieve unified national standard specifications, and activate practical mechanisms to comply with the application of national standard specifications in the electro technical field, and other vital goals of SNEC and SASO.
