A Chinese Delegation Discusses Ways of Activating Joint Cooperation Mechanisms, in the Field of Standard Specifications
A delegation from the Standardization Administration of China"SAC" headed by Director General, Dr. Shiu Hung Tin, and accompanied by a number of officials visited SASO , to discuss ways to strengthen joint work in the field of standard specifications and promote trade exchange between the Kingdom and China. His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of SASO, Eng. Abdullah bin Awad al-Qahtani, H.E. Director General of the international cooperation, Eng. Ahmed Allift, and a number of officials received the delegation.
At the beginning of the visit, SASO welcomed the Chinese delegation praising economic relations between the Kingdom and China. Both sides expressed their keenness to exert more efforts to protect consumers from goods and products, non-confirming to standards, and develop relations with all bodies related to different standardization areas.
For its part, the Chinese delegation was pleased with the advanced level of SASO's equipment, especially in laboratories and quality control activities, welcoming ways to consolidate joint cooperation with all the Kingdom's bodies, especially those relevant to standardization, commercial and economic support between the two sides.
The visit covered several topics of interest, studied prospects of cooperation, which were agreed to be discussed, and discussed mechanisms of activating technical cooperation programs between the two sides.
