Media-handling Skills Training Course for SASO Employees
SASO organized a training course about media-handling skills during the period from April 20th to 22nd, 2015, corresponding to Rajab 1st to 3rd, 1436 AH, in accordance with its strategic plan to enhance its employees' skills and to confirm the principle of vocational participation among all employees in delivering its message to consumers through mass media in an accepted manner. SASO brought the Kuwaiti trainer, Dr. Khaled AlQahs, to deliver that course.
The activities of the course included introducing SASO's employees with the nature of the media industry work, its platforms and the best methods used in dealing with these platforms in a way that serves the goals and visions of SASO and at the same time helps consumers to achieve the maximum benefit.
The activities of the course for the second day discussed the skills used for handling media interviews, the difference among mass media platforms in this field and the techniques that should be followed by the speaker. The course included, on its third day, practical practices on media interviews in addition to the methods used to get prepared for press conferences and to handle journalists' questions.
Dr. AlQahs also shed light on official spokesperson's skills and the crisis-management methods. The end of the course activities included practical practices and a review of the most important issues discussed during the three days of the course.
For their part, a number of SASO's employees who participated in the course expressed their pleasure for the distinctive attention of SASO's officials to improve their job performance and increase their knowledge, especially in handling mass media which has an influential role in creating the effective mental image of any establishment.
Dr. Khaled AlQahs praised the efforts of SASO that are showed in the excellent organization of that course and its keenness to benefit its employees by providing them with such skills which become one of the urgent needs in different work fields, particularly in those fields related directly to the security and safety of consumers.
