The Award Puts Industrial and Service Sectors on International Competition Map
Dr. Sa'ad bin Othman AlKasabi, the Governor of SASO and the Secretary General of King AbdulAziz Quality Award, has confirmed that the award continues, in its launch of the third round, effectively spreading quality culture and awareness of its importance. In addition, it stimulates private and public sectors to adopt the principles and foundations of the comprehensive quality at the national level.
The secretary general of the award has explained that the experiences of the award since its inception have earned it a lot of experience and given its officials a major push forward. Furthermore, those experiences have succeeded to put the industrial and service sectors on the international competition map by raising the quality level and its applications.
He has pointed out that the award qualifies and improves administrative leaders in establishments regularly to meet their responsibilities and perform all production and service processes efficiently and perfectly. In addition, it aims to honor the best establishments which presented a distinct level of performance and achieved the highest levels of quality, which urges other establishments to comply with the national and international standards and measurements.
He also pointed out that the award has witnessed radical developments in its rules and evaluation mechanism. In addition, the award opens the door to private health and educational bodies to participate in, after it was previously confined to the industrial and service sectors. However, the award has held introductory workshops in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam with the start of launching its third round, to explain the terms and mechanism of nomination, to present the schedule and to spread awareness of the award new model of excellence.
The Supreme Committee of King AbdulAziz Quality Award has announced the launch of the third round competitions of the award. The Committee has demanded the authorities wishing to participate, to apply for the award quickly and has decided the thirtieth day of Muharram, 1437 AH, corresponding to November 12th, 2015, as a deadline for receiving applications.
