According to the International Standard ISO / IEC 17025: 2005 SASO's laboratories prepare their employees for internal auditing
SASO, represented by the General Administration of Laboratories, organized a three-day training course on Internal Auditing in accordance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO / IEC 17025: 2005. The course was held in SASO's headquarter in Riyadh, during the period from 08-10 June 2015, within the framework of preparing labs for accreditation, in according with the International Standard ISO / IEC 17025: 2005, within SASO's strategic orientation so that its laboratories become an arbital reference.
The course was delivered by the Arab Tunisian expert Alalawi from Al-Masader Al-Duwaliyah for Environment & Quality Systems (AMAD). 22 employees from SASO's Laboratories Department in the Headquarter in Riyadh , Makkah and the Eastern Province branch attended the course.
SASO is keen on holding such technical training courses in order to raise the level of efficiency and qualification of its employees. The events of the course included the definition of auditing, the principles of auditing, audit management and implementation, and the evaluation of the auditors' efficiency , in accordance with the International Standard ISO / IEC 17025: 2005.
The activities of the second and third day of the course included applied practices for the auditing process. The auditing process included performing an experimental internal audit on some of the administrative and technical requirements for some laboratories according to the Auditing Guidance Standard, ISO 19011:2002, issued by ILAC organization (Guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing).
