A Delegation from the Industrial Clusters Program visits SASO to Discuss the Quality Infrastructure in the Kingdom

A delegation from the National Industrial Clusters Development Program has discussed a proposal project for examining the quality infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its visit to SASO on Monday, 25 Shawwal 1436 (10 August, 2015), and accompanied by a delegation from the German Institute (PTB). In addition, that visit was with the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry(MCI), Saudi Export Development Authority ( SEDA ), The Saudi Industrial Development Fund(SIDF), Ministry of defense (MOD), Saudi Specialized Laboratories Company ( Motabaqah) and other relevant authorities.
The visit also has addressed the discussion of standardization activities undertaken by SASO for quality system, and the roles played by concerned authorities such activities as well as examining the relation between them in the same context.
Industrial clusters delegation praised SASO's role in quality deployment of concepts and applications on all public and private bodies. The delegation has emphasized that role contributes in supporting the efforts and experiences aimed to develop quality products and services according to the Royal vision launched by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques which represents " Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with its products and services, a global standard for quality and perfection in 2020".
SASO plays a main role in the activities that represent the project of the quality infrastructure in the kingdom. It cooperates with work partners and bodies in concern, locally and internationally, to raise the efficiency and effectiveness of the national quality system in a comprehensive and integral way.
