SASO's branch in the eastern province organizes a blood donation campaign
In cooperation with King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Dammam, SASO's branch in the eastern province has organized an awareness blood donation campaign for its staff. That was in the context of strengthening the role of SASO and its employees toward the community and in keeping with humanitarian role and social responsibility of SASO in the awareness for the importance of blood donation and to help the patient and needy citizens, as well as support hospitals, which are always in need of blood units.
The campaign, which lasted for two days from Monday, 16 DHUAL-QA'DAH 1436 AH corresponding to 31 August 2015, had a big success where it began with an awareness lecture for SASO's employees presented by Dr. Nabil Al Sharif, chief laboratory technologist at King Fahad Specialist Hospital. He tackled blood donation process , its importance and its role in saving the life of the patient and the health benefits for the donator. Furthermore, he talked about means and methods related to the blood extraction process and how to separate its components into four main divisions. The next day the process of blood extraction from donors began at SASO's Branch in the Eastern Region, which has number of people from SASO's employees gathers to participate in this noble humanitarian duty.
From his side, the Director General of SASO, MR. Tamis Al-Hammadi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the administration of King Fahd Specialist Hospital in Dammam for its cooperation for the success of this campaign. He has directed thanks to its staff for their concern and support for this charity volunteer which establishes the principle of community solidarity and cooperation on patient service and save the lives of others .
