SASO Governor Reviews 5th National Quality Conference Final Preparations
His Excellency the Governor of Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) and the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Fifth National Quality Conference, Dr. Sa'ad Al-Kasabi, reviewed the final preparations for the quality committees of the conference which will be held from 30th Dhu al Hijjah, 1436 H to 2nd Muharram, 1437 H corresponding to 13th -15th October, 2015 under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. The slogan of the conference is "Quality .. a strategic choice for promoting sustainability and enhancing competitiveness".
The Governor of SASO stressed the importance of obtaining the utmost benefit of the conference programs and providing a proper scientific environment for specialists and people concerned with quality issues and applications, allowing for the exchange of their experiences with international ones brought to this conference.
Dr. Sa'ad Al-Kasabi pointed out that the aim of holding the conference is to disseminate the concept of quality and organizational excellence in the society and various business sectors, to stress the importance of quality applications and review their roles in achieving sustainability in different aspects of life, to review new approaches in comprehensive quality and its applications as well as to highlight the national strategy of quality and its role in strengthening the competitive capacity of the national products and services. He also expressed his optimism about the recommendations that will be resulted from the conference, which will enhance the road of quality to improve production, service and government sectors in the Kingdom, bring out the role of quality as a means of comprehensive development and boost the national economy.
The convening of the Fifth National Quality Conference fits in with the continuous efforts of SASO to deepen quality concepts and applications in the targeted business sectors, based on the national strategy of quality control and with the vision of the King which is "to make the Saudi products and services a global standard for quality and excellence by 2020".
