Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz - may God protect him -the events of the fifth National Conference of quality will start on Tuesday, 30th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1436 H., corresponding to 13th of October 2015, in Riyadh and organized by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), under the slogan "Quality .... a strategic choice for promoting sustainability & enhancing competitiveness " at King Faisal Conference Hall – InterContinental. The conference will include about 1,200 participants and people who are interested in quality in all business sectors in the Kingdom.
The fifth national conference of quality will witness (23) lectures , (6) scientific sessions and (4) workshops, with the participation of about (32) specialized speakers in this field. Important local and international experts will share several work papers which cover many aspects targeted by the conference in order to provide an opportunity for different sectors to exchange views and experiences between local and international specialists. This conference comes within the Kingdom's efforts to enhance the quality infrastructure and stand on the latest studies and programs that have been activated globally in this field.
The conference will address, over its three days, the quality in education, health and services sectors as well as the future of quality in the Kingdom. This makes it an opportunity to exchange views and stand on the reality of quality and its practices in various Kingdom sectors as well as access relevant international experiences.
The conference is scheduled to begin its events with four workshops about continuous improvement of operations and institutional performance by Professor Muhammad Ishouni from Hail University. The second workshop will be on quality fundamentals and key performance indicators ( KPIs ) in customer service by Professor Hani Al -Omari from King Abdul-Aziz University. Mr. Adel Dalal, from the United States, presents the third workshop on quality and leadership. The first day events of the conference are concluded by a workshop on quality applications "six Sigma" by the British expert Professor Tony Bendel.
The events on Wednesday, 01 Muharram 1437 AH.OCT. 14TH, 2015 include an opening lecture by His excellency Khalid Al- Falih Minister of health -Chairman of the Board of Saudi Aramco. First ( quality & organizational sustainability) Session moderator: Dr. khalid Bin Ibrahim al-Awad, a member of Shoura council – chairman of Masarat for consultancy.
The second session (Quality in Education) moderated by His excellency Dr. Nayef Al-Rumi PEEC governor. while the third scientific session will address the" quality and competitiveness" moderated by His royal Highness prince Saud Bin Khalid Bin Faisal Al Saud ,CEO of systems and investment policies. The fourth session will be centered on (Quality in Health moderated by His excellency Dr. Mohammed Khashim – CEO of Al Atssam medical company.
The events on Wednesday, 01 Muharram 1437 AH corresponding to 14 OCT, 2015, include an opening lecture by His excellency Eng. Khalid Al- Falih, Minister of health. Followed by the first scientific session under the title (Quality & Organizational Sustainability) chaired by Dr. Khalid Bin Ibrahim Al-Awad, member of Shoura council.
The second session (Quality in Education) will be chaired by His excellency Dr. Nayef Al-Rumi, PEEC governor. On the other hand, the third scientific session titled "Quality and Competitiveness", will be moderated by His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Khalid Bin Faisal Al Saud , Executive Director for Investment Policies and Regulations at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (“SAGIA”). The fourth session will be about (Quality in Health), moderated by His excellency Dr. Mohammed Khashim, CEO of Al Atssam medical company.
It is scheduled to conclude the second day of the conference with the official opening ceremony, under the sponsorship of The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques , King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and in presence of a number of Their Highnesses and ministers. The Conference continues its activities on Thursday with four specialized sessions about creativity, innovation, and quality in services. In addition to a special session which will be discussing the national strategy project for quality and other discussions.
