SASO awareness campaign (Standards Protect You) invited consumers who are using ready-mixed concrete in construction to ensure that the concrete factory obtained the Saudi Quality Mark, noting that this mark is mandatory for factories since September 2019.
SASO also recommended for consumers to ensure no more than an hour and a half have passed since the production of concrete upon use. Recommendations include the importance of verifying that the temperature of concrete does not exceed 35 degrees Celsius, calling for carefully reading the delivery paper provided by the factory and making sure that the received concrete on site is the same required and recommended.
SASO called on consumers and contractors to adhere to adding water to concrete according to the rates recommended in the relevant Saudi standards.
This campaign (Standards Protect You) was launched by SASO to introduce consumers to the role of standards in achieving safety and quality in products and services, indicating that this campaign is ongoing and will include many products, which mainly affect consumer safety.
