The Governor of Standers, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi, greeted the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Kingdom, Mr. Ahmed Jaweed Mojadidi, as part of the efforts exerted to strengthen bilateral relations between Saudi Standards and international counterparts.
Based on the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries, the two sides discussed the mechanisms of enhancement and strengthening the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, in the field of standard specifications, calibration and quality.
The ambassador was accompanied by a high-ranking delegation during the visit, attended by the deputy ambassador, Counselor Obaidullah Atai, and the commercial attache, Muhammad Riyad Sadat, as well as the economic officer Khalil Balkhi, and the Public Relations Officer at the Afghan Embassy in the Kingdom, Syed Abdul Latif Harawi.
It is noteworthy that the Republic of Afghanistan is one of the Islamic countries that members of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
