The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has reminded manufacturers and suppliers of the date of committing to the Saudi quality mark on electrical connections products manufactured locally or imported as a prerequisite to allow circulation in the Saudi market, as the quality mark will be mandatory starting 7/8/2020, God willing.
SASO clarified that this measure is a continuation of its efforts to enhance procedures for raising safety and quality rates in products traded in the Saudi market, noting that the commitment to the quality mark aims to raise the level of technical requirements for connections relating to combustion and ignition resistance, and refractive resistance, as well as heat tolerance in accordance with standard specifications approved in this regard.
Saudi Standards Organization calls upon all manufacturers and suppliers to apply for a quality mark for electrical connection products through electronic services on its official website (www.saso.gov.sa).
