SASO Motivates National Establishments with Specialized Certificate for Beneficiary Service Centers

Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has started to activate requirements of the technical regulation of Saudi Quality Certificate for Beneficiary Service Centers (Hayyak) on beneficiary service centers in governmental and private bodies.
Through the application of the requirements of this regulation, SASO aims to ensure the quality of services provided by beneficiary service centers in establishments in accordance with the principles of institutional work and the requirements of different quality management systems. These centers are subjected to a comprehensive assessment of the quality of the services they provide to beneficiaries. After that, a quality certificate is issued by SASO in accordance with specific requirements to raise the level of competitiveness and quality in this type of specialized centers.
The standards of this certificate apply to different types of centers where services are provided to beneficiaries. It also deals with the development of beneficiary service centers in all governmental, private and non-profit organizations. It covers direct services to beneficiaries as part of providing a product or service, including direct personal communication, telephone calls, self-service systems, e-services and other similar processes.
SASO noted that the implementation of this regulation aims at saving time, effort and cost of services. Moreover, it intends to raise the level of beneficiary service centers; clarify and facilitate procedures; reduce operations; and provide unified standards of service. Furthermore, it seeks to raise the level of beneficiary satisfaction and service standards, as well as improve the waiting environment for beneficiaries.
SASO expressed its readiness to qualify governmental and private bodies wishing to apply the requirements of the regulation. SASO stresses that obtaining Saudi Quality Certificate for Beneficiary Service Centers requires the establishment to provide contact information, place of the service center, in addition to good reception and guidance (i.e., telephone reception, direct reception). It also requires the center to provide service for people with special needs such as disabled individuals, elderly, pregnant women and others. In addition, it necessitates providing information about the service easily and accurately, having reception halls prepared, and applying the quality system in the center.
