Makkah branch embraces the induction meeting of King
Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA) on the
occasion of launching the third session competitions
and inaugurating the new excellence model.
SASO branch in Makkah region embraces the induction meeting of King Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA) on the occasion of launching the third session competitions and inaugurating the new excellence model of excellence, on Monday corresponding to 06/01/1437 AH.
At the opening of the meeting , a word of His Excellency the Governor of SASO, Secretary-General of the award, has been addressed on his behalf by His Excellency General Manager of SASO branch in Makkah region, Mr. Mutlaq bin Raji Al Tayary. He assured that this induction meeting of King Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA), comes in the framework of the endeavor of the General Secretariat of the Award to enable individuals and enterprises to understand and accommodate the Excellence model of King Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA). The model is also for KAQA's objectives, standards, adopted assessment mechanism, and benefits obtained by the winning establishments, and other matters relating to the Award.
Dr. Al Kassabi noted that: the amount of the big challenges facing the kingdom under the economic growth and prosperity of the Saudi market with many national products which made access to the consumer a goal sought by various ways. This made the need for a national award specialized in quality urgent, comparable to those of known international awards, and based on global standards for the assessment, to raise product quality level, and to enhance the efficiency of services.
Furthermore, the Secretary General of the Award stated that: (KAQA) was established to be the national award specialized in quality and excellence in the Kingdom, in order to raise the quality, efficiency and productivity level in various sectors. In addition, to develop the various sectors of the country through the application of global methodology and standards which lead to performance excellence and promote best practices. In order to achieve the future vision of quality in the Kingdom by 2020, "Saudi Arabia, with its products and services is a global standard for quality."
Finally, the occasion events were consumed by displaying a film about the award, then presenting an induction lecture in which a word has been given by His Excellency Dr. Zaben bin Eidah Althbity, CEO of King Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA). The meeting was continued with a lecture about the Excellence Model of the Award. After that, the meeting was concluded with a panel discussion in which some ideas to develop various sectors were raised through the application of quality methodology and its criteria to lead to excellence in performance.
