SASO: Registers 58,000 Products in Saber Platform During November

Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization(SASO) announced registering more than (58,000) products in Saber e-platform during November, while the number of the registered conformity certificates reached (23,000), in addition to (39,000) certificates of conformity of consignment.

SASO indicated that since the launch of the platform, more than (33,000) merchants have registered in it. The number of registered products has exceeded (1.4) million local and imported products, as well as more than (395,000) conformity certificates, which reflects the pivotal role of the platform in supporting trading and economic processes in the Kingdom.

SASO clarified that Saber e-platform makes it easier for the beneficiaries, of local suppliers and manufacturers, to access conformity assessment bodies accredited by SASO around the world to obtain the required conformity and consignment certificates and register them in Saber platform from the country of origin. That is, to facilitate and accelerate entry procedures for products to the Saudi market, which leads to reducing the time spent in the process of conforming electronically so easily.  

SASO called on the owners of commercial establishments to enter the website of Saber platform and learn more about new services and product registration via (saber.sa), pointed out that the development of Saber e-platform was in cooperation with the technical partner, Thiqa Company, according to the highest standards of efficiency.

It is stated that SASO previously announced the launch of the non-commercial product service in Saber e-platform. Which allows beneficiaries to submit an application for imported consumer products, provided that they are not intended for sale or trade, and to electronically register a certificate of conformity of consignment in order to expedite and facilitate the clearance of products in the customs ports.
