 إمكانات القياس والمعايرة

​      ​حملت الهيئة على عاتقها مسئولية إنشاء "المركز الوطني للقياس والمعايرة" لدعم الصناعة والبحث العلمي، وكذلك  حماية  كل  من المستهلك والتاجر من خلال دقة القياس، وأصبح المركز الآن مزوداً بالمعايير الأساسية وإمكانات المعايرة المدعمة  بالكوادر  العلمية المتخصصة التي تمكنه من تغطية الاحتياجات المطلوبة في بعض مجالات المعايرة ذات الأولوية، وقد حرصت الهيئة  عند  إنشاء  المركز على توفير الظروف البيئية المطلوبة بالنسبة لدرجة الحرارة والرطوبة، والوقاية من الغبار والاهتزازات وغيرها ، والتي  تعد   أساسية للحفاظ على ثبات وتكرارية القياسات ذات الدقة العالية .
 
​      ​وفي الوقت الحالي أصبح المركز قادراً على تقديم خدماته للجهات الحكومية والمؤسسات الصناعية والتجارية في  المملكة  بأعلى مستويات الدقة.
